have an opinion?
rank it.

iRank uses head-to-head matchups (this vs. that) to generate real 0-10 scores for the things you actually care about. Think Letterboxd's ranking culture and Beli's matchup mechanic, but unified across every category that matters.

01

Rank and repeat

Pick between two things you love. Your ranked list builds itself, no more 200 movies all rated 4 stars.

02

Six categories, plus your own

Movies, TV shows, restaurants, travel, music, celebrities. But if it's not built in (your friend's cooking, an inside joke, a niche obsession), just make a custom category.

03

Built to share

Your rankings are the content. Screenshot your top 5, screen-record the matchups, post on TikTok and Reels.

post from
your own handle.

Your existing audience already trusts you, that's the whole point. Use the handle you already have. We'll never ask you to start from zero.

Default path

your.handle

Post from whatever TikTok and Instagram handles you already use. Add the iRank bio link, tag us, post your rankings. Done.

@your_existing_tiktok @your_existing_ig

Want a dedicated handle? (optional)

Some creators want a separate handle that's iRank-focused, pure ranking content that builds its own audience. If that's you, the recommended convention is:

firstname.ranks
e.g. brandon.ranks · maya.ranks · alex.ranks

Pick whichever path fits your style. Both earn the same.

three formats.
that's it.

Pick whichever feels natural. Mix between them. The point is consistency, not perfection.

Format 01

screen-record reaction

Open iRank, rank 10 things in any category. Screen-record while you react out loud. Your real reactions are what makes it watchable.

  • ● "ranking every Christopher Nolan movie made me cry"
  • ● "I spent 2 hours ranking every restaurant I've been to in LA"
Format 02

top 5 reveal

Show your top 5 in any category with the score badges on screen. People scroll for rankings, so give them rankings.

  • ● "my top 5 sushi spots in LA, ranked"
  • ● "I ranked every album from 2024, here's the top 5"
Format 03

talking head

Look into the camera. Talk about why ranking matters. Rants, hot takes, why your taste is uniquely correct.

  • ● "everyone has a top 5 movie until you make them list it"
  • ● "your favorite isn't real if you can't actually pick one"

Post the same video to both TikTok and Instagram Reels. Same content, two platforms, both count toward your earnings.

common
questions.

Do I need to make an iRank-dedicated account?

No. Post from your existing TikTok and Instagram. Your audience already trusts you, that's why you're a creator. Some folks like to spin up a dedicated iRank-focused handle (firstname.ranks) but it's optional.

Do I need a big following?

No. We care about content quality, not follower count. Some of our best-performing creators have under 1K followers. The right hashtags and formats can get a video to 100K views from a fresh-feeling account.

Do TikTok AND Instagram Reels both count?

Yes. Post the same video on both. Both sets of views earn $1 per 1K. There's no penalty for cross-posting, actually we encourage it. Same content, two platforms, double the reach.

How do I get paid?

Once a month, you submit your view counts with screenshots of your TikTok and Reels analytics. Once verified, we send payment via Venmo or whatever method you prefer. Payouts process within 5 business days of verification.

What hashtags should I use?

Required: #irank #rankeverything #toptier. Plus at least one category-specific tag like #movietok, #tvtok, #foodtok, #traveltok, or #musictok. Mix in 2-3 more relevant tags depending on your content.

What categories can I rank?

Six built-in categories: movies, TV shows, restaurants (Restaurants, Coffee & Tea, Bars & Clubs, Desserts), travel (Cities & Destinations, Hotels & Resorts, Sights & Landmarks, Beaches & Nature, Experiences & Activities, Airports), music (Songs, Albums), and celebrities (Comedians, Actors & Actresses, Musicians & Artists, Influencers & Creators, TV Personalities, Directors & Producers, NBA Players, NFL Players). Plus, if it's not built in, make your own custom category. Your friend's cooking. An inside joke. Your group chat's running bit. Anything you and your people argue about.

How often should I post?

3-5 times per week is the sweet spot. The TikTok and Instagram algorithms reward consistency. Less than 2x per week and you won't build momentum. More than 7x and quality usually drops.

What content performs best?

Hot-take rankings, screen-record matchups with audible reactions, and "I ranked every X" reveals. Content where viewers can argue with you (where you pick sides instead of playing it safe) outperforms calm, polished videos every time.

Do I need to live in a specific city?

No. iRank works for any category, anywhere. Restaurant and travel rankings benefit from being location-tagged, but movies, music, and TV shows work from anywhere on earth.
